Bureau Veritas is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in equal opportunity and an inclusive work environment. We are committed to meeting the accessibility needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner, and will do so by identifying and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Training for Staff

  • All of our Staff are fully trained and know how to communicate with individuals with disabilities.
  • Bureau Veritas will continue to provide training to all active employees who interact with the public on behalf of Bureau Veritas.

Service Dogs

We welcome people with disabilities and their service animals; however, there are areas at Bureau Veritas where service animals may not be permitted due to safety and health concerns. Chemicals found in many labs can be harmful to Service Animals; in addition, organisms naturally found on most Service Dogs could negatively impact the outcome of our testing.

When employees with Service Animals are required to be in one of our restricted areas for their job, alternative arrangements will be considered to provide access. If it is determined to be unsafe for the team to be in one of these areas, reasonable accommodations will be provided to ensure the employee has equal access to their work environment.

Additional Support Services

Any person with a disability who requires the assistance of a Support Worker will be permitted to make use of their service while at Bureau Veritas.

Disruption to Services – People With Disabilities

If there is an interruption to Bureau Veritas' ability to service people with disabilities, Bureau Veritas will notify the public as to the length of the disruption, the cause of the disruption and how an individual with a disability can gain access to our facility.
